Philadelphia’s favorite buffo bass, Kevin Glavin, returns to the Opera Company of Philadelphia as Mustafà, the Bey of Algiers, who becomes bored with his harem and turns his attention to the cunning Isabella. |

Isabella, mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, is shipwrecked on the shores of Algiers while in search of her lover Lindoro. When she finds herself pursued by the Bey Mustafà, buffo bass Kevin Glavin, she realizes that she will need to use all of her feminine wiles to escape with Lindoro. |

Paul Shortt's exotic set design includes everything from moveable platforms to flying elephants!
